Air conditioning systems continue to grow in capability and sophistication, but getting the best out of the system by effective controls need not be a black art.

 

With energy costs likely to stay high or climb still higher, building owners and managers need practical solutions that are not only flexible and easy to use, but will help the air conditioning pound go further. The new breed of controllers can offer efficiency while providing simplicity of control and high levels of comfort for tenants. A comfortable environment does not have to be expensive, and there are optimum solutions for split systems and for VRF systems.

Split systems

Single split systems

SRK and SCM series split systems are supplied complete with a simple RCN-E1R infra-red remote controller.

 

Multi split systems

SCM and FD series multi systems, with 1, 2, 3 or 4 indoor units, are supplied with RCN-E1R infra-red remote controllers or RC-E3 wired controllers for each indoor unit. FD series multi systems may be configured for control in groups of up to 16 indoor units from 1 RC-E3 wired controller. more»

VRF standalone controls

For relatively simple VRF applications, where aircon control is not part of a larger Building Management System (BMS), MHI’s user-friendly SLA-3 controller provides centralised control, monitoring, scheduling and administrative functions to facilitate energy efficient system management. For multi-tenanted buildings, additional functionality in the SLB-3 monitors energy consumption of individual units, enabling the owner to monitor and calculate tenants’ usage and costs. more»

 

VRF web gateway controls

For more sophisticated applications, such as multi-tenanted buildings which may have several building managers, but where the air conditioning system is controlled separately, ie there is no need to link to a BMS protocol, MHI can provide a web gateway system controller, the SC-WGW. more»
