R22 Legislation

R22 Legislation

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries offers the simplest and most cost-effective route through the new R22 refrigerant legislation by enabling new R410a units to fit existing R22 system pipework www.MitsubishiR22.com»

Split systems

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was the first manufacturer, in 2004, to produce a series of high efficiency split systems based on R410A refrigerant. Many of the larger systems used fixed speed scroll compressors and the CoP (Coefficient of Performance) ratings of these systems reached new heights.

Refrigerant Control

The application of the inverter is not the only developmental change. The control and monitoring of refrigerant temperatures, pressures, and volume flow rates, are all critical to the achievement of high energy savings more»

Electricity Costs

The motivating factor behind this new technology is the reduction of operational electricity costs. This is now being demanded by small users and large multiple clients. Energy costs will continue to increase, and in commercial buildings there is the added burden of the Climate Change Levy on electricity billing.

Inverter technology has lead to a reduction of energy consumption by up to 38% from previous non-inverter models.

Utilising refrigerant R410a

R410a brings many benefits, not least its environmentally friendly zero ODP (Ozone Depleting Potential) rating. This refrigerant also has much better heat transfer properties than other common refrigerants and has a higher density which allows reduced tube diameter in the heat exchangers and inter-connecting pipework, thus reducing the overall amount of refrigerant required in the system.
